Upgrade Bench

Two mods, one step up

Server and every player

An Upgrade Bench, crafted at a workbench. Put two of the same weapon, armor, tool, or vehicle mod in it, at the same quality, plus the materials in upgrades.txt.

Both mods and the materials are used. One mod comes back one quality level higher, up to Q6. The upgraded mod keeps its mod slots.

What it does

What you put in

Two copies of the same mod, same quality, plus the materials listed for that step. Costs live in upgrades.txt on each player's copy of the mod.

Who installs it

The block and recipe have to be on the server. Clients receive them. The upgrade itself runs on each player's PC, so every player installs the mod too.

v1.0.2Current

  • forged-iron mods (Rad Remover, Barbed Wire, Metal Chain, Grave Digger, Bunker Buster, Iron Breaker, Wood Splitter) cost 4 iron for Q1→Q2, not 10, matching the other steps (4, 6, 8, 10, 12).
Older versions (v1.0.1, v1.0.0)

v1.0.1Download v1.0.1

  • 7 Days 3.3. The upgraded mod keeps its mod slots. ItemValue no longer has a public Modifications property.

Good to know

  • Restart after editing upgrades.txt. A typo in an item name shows up in the game log.
  • Built for 7 Days V3.4. 1.0.1 was the first version for 3.3.
  • Players launch without EasyAntiCheat.

Works with

  • Craft From ChestsThat mod can pull the bench's material cost from claim chests. The two mods being combined still have to be in the bench.
